DIRECT RECRUITMENT TO THE UTTARAKHAND HIGHER JUDICIAL SERVICE-2019
Applications are invited from the practicing Advocates for filling up
06 vacant posts of ADDITIONAL DISTRICT AND SESSIONS JUDGE by direct recruitment in the Uttarakhand Higher Judicial Service in the pay scale of ` 51,550-1,230-58,930-1,380-63,070, in accordance with the provisions of the Uttarakhand Higher Judicial Service Rules-2004 (as amended in 2016)
The category-wise posts shall be as follows
General Vacant posts 01 Horizontal Reservation (Women) 00
Scheduled Caste(SC) Vacant posts 03 Horizontal Reservation (Women) 01
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Vacant posts 02 Horizontal Reservation (Women) 01
The last date for submission of duly completed application form before the Registrar General, High Court of Uttarakhand, Nainital is 06.05.2019 by 5.00 P.M. The envelope containing the Application Form must clearly mention on its top “Application for the H.J.S.-2019”. The High Court will not be responsible for any delay whatsoever. Application received after the last date shall not be entertained. The list of candidates eligible to appear in the preliminary examination shall be uploaded on the High Court website on or before 25.05.2019.
Applicants for recruitment to the service: -
(i) Must be a Citizen of India. (ii) Must be an Advocate of not less than seven years standing as on the first day of January 2019.

(iii) Prosecuting Officer / Assistant Prosecuting Officers are also treated to be an Advocate and eligible as per the Judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 561 of 2013; Deepak Agarwal Vs. Keshav Kaushik & Others.
Note: The admission of candidate at every stage of examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
