Walk- in Interview for the JRF (02) and Project Assistant (01)
Applications are invited for the two (02) posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one (01) post of Project Assistant in a Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, Sponsored Project entitled “The State and Fate of the Glaciers in Upper Alaknanda basin (UAB), Central Himalaya, India” under Prof. H.C. Nainwal, Principal Investigator, Department of Geology, HNBGU, Srinagar Garhwal.
The details of post are as-
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of post Two (02)
Age Not exceeding 28 Years
Essential Qualifications M.Sc. in Earth Sciences/ Geology/ Geophysics/ Remote Sensing with at least 55% marks and have passed NET/GATE/National Level Examinations
Monthly Fellowship Rs. 25,000 + HRA
Desirable Qualification Field and remote sensing knowledge of glaciology and experience in data processing on instruments like DGPS.
Duration Up to 31 March, 2022
Project Assistant
Number of post One (01)
Age Not exceeding 35 Years
Essential Qualifications Rs. 15,000/- (consolidated)
Preference will be given to those candidate having B.Sc. in Geology/ Physics/Mathematics
Duration Up to 31 March, 2022
Age relaxation is admissible for the candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC categories as per Government of India rules. Interested candidate may appear for walk-in interview on 25/04/2019 in the Department of Geology, HNB Garhwal University, Chauras Campus at 11.00 AM. They may submit their applications stating name, date of birth, caste, permanent and correspondence address, names of father and mother, telephone number and e-mail address, details of educational career (starting from High School onwards) and experience (if any) at the time of interview along with their self attested testimonials and a recent passport size photograph. The candidate must produce original documents/certificates at the time of interview. The posts are temporary and co-terminus with the project. The incumbent shall have no implicit or explicit claim of regular absorption in any post in the University. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
