Eligible candidates are invited for Test/
Walk-in-Interview from 09.07.2019 to 10.07.2019 at 10:00 AM at ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora-263601 (Uttarakhand) for the purely temporary and time bound positions of Senior Research Fellow, Young Professional- I, Young Professional- II and Project Assistant on contractual basis under the following project. The qualifications and other details are as under.
Name of the Project 1. Network project on Organic Farming Young Professional-I 01
The minimum age will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules. Rs. 15,000/- consolidated per month. Young professional – I will be engaged for a period of 12 months, extendable to a maximum of another term based on needs of the organization and performance of the candidate. However, maximum duration will not be extended beyond two years. The post can be terminated at any time depending upon the availability of funds under the project. Graduates in Agricultural/ Horticultural Sciences or diploma holder in engineering/Technology. a) Experience in working with different modern equipment’s for soil and plant analysis. b) Experience in organic crop management. Implementation of experiments and management of organic farming system model; detailed analysis of soil, compost and plant parts; observations on plant protection parameters; surveying and data collection from certified organic farmers’ field.

2. For Biotech Laboratory
Young Professional- II
01 The minimum age will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.
Rs. 25,000/- consolidated per month.
Initially for one year, may be extended for another year as per requirement
Post graduate in Biotechnology/Botany/Life Science with a minimum of one year experience (excluding dissertation period) in Plant tissue culture/transgenic development OR Ph.D. in any of the above subjects in the area of plant tissue culture/ transgenic development

Project Assistant
01 The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
Rs. 20,000/- consolidated per month.
Presently for 2019 and likely to continue
M.Sc in Entomology/Zoology - Research in Entomology ; May have to travel all over Uttarakhand.
4. NICRA Project Senior Research Fellow (For KVK, Chinyalisaur)
01 The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women with relaxation as per rules on the date of interview.
Rs. 25,000/+ HRA per month.

M.Sc. Ag. in Horticulture/ Vegetable Science/ Agronomy from recognized university.
Experience in hill agriculture.

5. ICAR funded Network Project on AMAAS entitled "Developing PGPR consortia for enhanced micronutrient (iron and zinc) uptake and yield of finger millet (Eleusine coracana) in hilly areas".

02 The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview
Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year.
Rs. 28,000/- per month +HRA for 3rd year.
March, 2020 The candidates must have passed Master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology/ Microbiology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology (for candidates with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor's degree) OR Master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology/ Microbiology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology with NET qualification (for candidates with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master Degree). (as mentioned in the OM SR/S9/Z-09/2012 of DST dated 21.10.2014).
a) Knowledge and hands on work experience on isolation characterization of microorganisms and screening for PGP traits etc. b) Well acquainted with Molecular techniques. c) Basic knowledge of experimental design and computer.
He/ She has to carry out laboratory, pot and field experiments/ studies and may have to travel all over Uttarakhand.

Instructions for Test/Walk-in-Interview and terms and conditions :
1. The candidates are advise to report 10:00 AM to complete the exam related formalities. 2. There will be a written test for shortlisting the candidates before appearing the interview for the position of Young Professional – I. 3. Candidate who will score 50% and above will only be allowed for interview for the position of Young Professional – I. 4. For the post of Young Professional – II, Senior Research Fellow and Project Assistant direct interview will be conducted. 5. Interested and eligible candidate fulfilling the above qualifications may appear in Test/walk in interview at ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora – 263601(Uttarakhand). They are requested to fill the application form indicating all details, photograph for each project separately along self attested copies of certificates in support of age (Class 10th Certificate), qualifications, experience. 6. No-objection certificate from the employer/University in case he/she is in employment elsewhere/ studying. 7. The candidates are necessarily required to produce all original certificates which will be returned to them. 8. The above position is on contractual basis, purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project 9. The place of work will be at ICAR-VPKAS, Almora/Hawalbagh (Uttarakhand) or the project site. 10. The selected candidate shall not claim any regular employment at this Institute, as the position is co-terminus with the project. 11. No T.A./D.A. will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview. 12. The number of positions may increase and decrease as per requirements. 13.
