WALK-in-INTERVIEW : 24.02.2020 at 11.00 A.M.

A Walk-in-interview is scheduled at Division of Forestry Statistics, ICFRE HQ Building, ICFRE, FRI Campus,
Dehradun on 24.02.2020 at 11.00 A.M. for recruitment of one RA-III and one Field Worker in the project titled “Assessment of socio-ecological vulnerability to climate change among agroforestry managers along an altitude gradient in the Eastern Himalayas” funded by DST for three years PI: Dr Rajiv Pandey.

1. Position : RA - III

Educational requirement/ Experience : Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Ecological Economics/Environmental Economics/ Economics/ Environmental Science/Environmental Management/ Forestry/Geography or having 3 years of research or development experience after M.Tech. in RS&GIS with at least one research paper in SCI Journal

Desirable: Good skill in RS&GIS with evidence of quality publications

Consolidated fellowship/ stipend per month (in Rs.) : 54,000 + HRA

2. Position : Field Worker

Educational requirement/ Experience : B.Sc. in Science/Ag Sciences/Geography with a working
knowledge of related fields

Desirable: Exposure to RS&GIS and Computing

Consolidated fellowship/stipend per month (in Rs.): 18,000 + HRA

Terms and Conditions:
1. Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
2. Age limit as on 24.02.2020 for RA is 35 Years and for Field Worker is 25 (relaxation in age limit of the
candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Women upto 5 years).
3. Candidate should submit their bio-data in person, while attending the interview from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM on
the date of Interview.
4. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the Project.
5. The position can also be terminated at any time by the National Project Coordinator of the Project without
assigning any reason depending on the performance of the candidate.
6. Recruitment for the above temporary position is governed by the rules and regulation of the Indian Council of
Forestry Research & Education (ICFRE) and does not guarantee subsequent employment in any Institute under
the Council.
7. The interested candidate may appear before the selection committee with their original certificates, mark sheets
with a self-attested photocopy of each and a recent passport size photograph along with the bio-data.
8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
9. Candidates without Provisional Certificate/ Degree Certificate/original mark sheet awarded by the University
will not be permitted to attend the Interview.
10. Order of engagement of the selected candidate will be issued subject to availability of fund and approval of the
Competent Authority. Tenure mentioned in the advertisement is tentative and liable to be curtailed/extended as
per the decision of the Competent Authority.
11. Service conditions of project staffs would be govern as per DST OM.
12. If it is found at any stage of the process or thereafter that the candidates do not fulfill the eligibility criteria, their
candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason. Further, the decision of the ICFRE in this regard to
the selection process will be final and binding. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained by the
Council.
13. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
