The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites applications for Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Fellow on Contract For Project entitled “Biodiversity assessment of Hasdeo-Arand coalfields, Surguja district, Chhattishgarh” purely on contractual basis. Essential Qualification (EQ) : Minimum of 60% marks in M.Sc./M.A. in Wildlife Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Life Science and related biological sciences, Global Environment and Climate Change Law as well as other Social Sciences
Desirable Qualification (DQ) : Preference will be given to candidates willing to carry out rigorous field work under harsh conditions. Prior experience of working in any other research project will be an added advantage.
Age : Not exceeding 30 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
Emoluments Rs. 32,000 + HRA 3
Work description : The job involves extensive field work with respect to biodiversity assessment that includes vegetation sampling, camera trapping for animal population monitoring, sampling of herepetofauna, socio economic survey in the study area followed by data analysis and report writing. The work also involves liasoning with officials of Chhattishgarh Forest Department and other line agencies. 4 Duration One year 5 Location of Project site Surguja Forest Division, Chattishgarh 6 Funding agency Government of Chattishgarh.
1. The candidate should report at Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Chandrabani, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with original application and documents at 0900 hrs on 20.09.2019 for scrutiny of documents followed by Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs onwards. 2. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications along with certificate of extracurricular activities; date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.
