Search with an Image from Search Results

 

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google app Google app or Chrome app Chrome On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google app Google app or Chrome app Chrome .

  • 1. Go to Google Images.
  • 2. Search for the image you want to use and tap it.
  • 3. To search with the image: Touch and hold the image, then tap Search Google for this image.​ Or, if you search in English, at the top right, tap Visually search this image .

 

Search with an image from a website

Important: To search with a website image in the Chrome app, you need to set Google as your default search engine. 1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google app Google app or Chrome app Chrome . Go to the website with the image. Touch and hold the image.  Tap Search with Google Lens. Select how you want to search:  Use an object in the image: If available, on the object, tap Select . Use part of an image: Tap Select image area , then drag the corners of the box around your selection.

 

Search with an image saved on your phone - Important: For now, this feature isn’t available on Android tablets.

1.On your Android phone, open the Google app Google app. 

2. At the bottom, tap Discover.  In the search bar, tap Google Lens Google Lens.

3. Take or upload a photo to use for your search: 

To take a photo - Point to an object with your camera and tap Search Search. To upload an existing image - Tap Photo picker Gallery and select a photo.  Select the area you want to use for your search:  Use an object in the image - If available, on the object, tap Select . Use part of an image - Tap Select image area , then drag the corners of the box around your selection.  At the bottom, scroll to find your search results. Tip - To get more specific results select a smaller area on the image.

  • Go to images.google.com.
  • Search for an image.
  • You can also do a search on Google for the image you want to find, then at the top, select Images.

  • Hold down the mouse, drag the picture, and then drop it into the search box.

  • On your computer, open a web browser, like Chrome or Safari.
  • Go to the website with the picture you want to use.
  • To copy the URL, right-click on the picture.
  • Click Copy image address.
  • Go to Google Images.
  • Click Search by image Search by image.
  • Click Paste image URL.
  • In the text box, paste the URL.
  • Click Search by image.
  • The URLs you search with aren't saved in your browsing history. Google may store the URLs to make our products and services better.

  • On your computer, open the Chrome browser.
  • Go to the website with the picture you want to use.
  • Right-click the picture.
  • Click Search Google for image. You’ll see your results in a new tab.
