Yamunotri Shrine

केदारखंड में यमुना के उद्भव और नामकरण के सम्बन्ध में कहा गया है.


सन्तुष्टोभास्करः प्रादात्पितृणां स्वामिता च वै।
यमुना च महाभागे त्रैलाक्यहितकांक्षया॥
नदी जाता महाभागा यमुनोत्तरवासिनी।
यस्या वै दर्शनात्सद्यः प्रमुचयते॥

संतुष्ट सूर्य ने यम को पितरों का स्वामी बना दिया और तीनों लोकों की हित कामना से सूर्य भगवान ने अपनी पुत्री यमुना को भी देवताओं के हित में दे दिया। तब से से यमुना, नदी हो गयी, यमुना उत्तर में 'यमुनोत्तरी' में वास करने लगी। जिसके दर्शन मात्र से सब पापों से छुटकारा मिल जाता है।

🌲 यमुनोत्री धाम सिंधुतल से 3235 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर जनपद उत्तरकाशी में स्थित है।

🌲 मंदिर से एक किलोमीटर आगे 4412 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर स्थित यमुनोत्री बाँक से यमुना नदी निकलती है।

🌲 मंदिर के पास गर्म पानी का स्रोत है, इसमें दाल व चावल कपड़े की पोटली में बांधकर पकाया जा सकता है। यहाँ स्नान करके कठिन यात्रा की थकान दूर हो जाती है।
🌲 पौराणिक कथानक के अनुसार यमुना, यमराज की बहन व सूर्य भगवान की बेटी और भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की आठ पटरानियों में कालिंदी के नाम से प्रसिद्ध थी। महाभारत के विराटपर्व तथा वनपर्व में कलिन्द पर्वत तथा कालिन्दी का उल्लेख मिलता है।

Yamunotri Shrine


At the altitude of 3293 meters, Yamunotri lies adjacent to the Indo-Chinese border and is encircled by the lofty peaks on all sides. One of the holiest centers in the Hindu pantheon, this sacred abode of the Asti muni boast of so many unparallel vistas of nature.

यमुनोत्री धाम यात्रा मार्ग

 

  • पहला मार्ग ऋषिकेश से चम्बा, नई टिहरी, धरासू होते हुए बड़कोट सा हनुमानचट्टी तक है। ऋषिकेश से यमुनोत्री 222 किलोमीटर है, तथा पैदल मार्ग यात्रा हनुमानचट्टी से 11 किलोमीटर है।

  • दूसरा मार्ग हरिद्वार से देहरादून, मसूरी, यमुना पुल यमुना पुल, डामटा, नौगांव, बड़कोट, हनुमानचटटी होकर है। हनुमानचटटी से यमुनोत्री के बीच में बीच में फूलचट्टी तथा जानकीचट्टी क्रमश: 6 तथा 3 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित हैं। यमराज ने यहीं पर तपस्या करके लोकपाल का पद प्राप्त किया था। 

 

यमनोत्री के दर्शनीय स्थल

 

  • यमुनादेवी मंदिर : यह मंदिर जयपुर का महारानी गुलरिया ने 19वीं शताब्दी में बनवाया था। इसी सदी में यह दा बार ध्वस्त हुआ और पुन: इसका जीर्णोद्धार कराया गया। मंदिर सामान्यतः नवंबर से अप्रैल तक बंद रहता है।

  • सूर्यकुंड : यमुनोत्री में मंदिर के आसपास गर्म पानी के कई स्रोत हैं। इनमें सर्यकंड प्रमुख है।

  • दिव्यशिला : यमुनोत्री मंदिर में जाने से पहले एक पाषाण शिला मिलती है जिसकी पूजा की जाती है।
