Applications are invited from Indian Citizens in the prescribed format for purely project based temporary position under the following projects at Kosi-Katarmal, Almora. Candidate having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic records and experience may attend an online (virtual interview) interview for the various post in different projects on 29.6.2021. Project No. 1: Mainstreaming landscape approach of biodiversity conservation, improved livelihood and ecosystem health in India, part of Kailash Sacred Landscape (NMHS-UBB, MoEF&CC)
Position - Junior Project Fellow (01 No.)
Emoluments - @ Rs. 20,000/ p.m. + HRA
Age - 28 years*
Qualification - First class Masters degree in Social Science/History/ Environmental science
Desirable - Work experience in Himalayan Ecosystem/ Mountain terrain
Nature of Duties & Responsibilities - Field based research for data collection on socioeconomic profile, community based forest management, restoration approaches, and their analysis, report writing and Knowledge product development
Place of work - Kailash Sacred Landscape, district Pithoragarh
Duration of the project - Upto November 2021
Project No. 2 - Mainstreaming Himalayan Biodiversity for sustainable development (In-house project No.- 4)
Position - Field Assistant (01 No.)
Emoluments - @ Rs. 12,000/ p.m. fixed
Age - 45 years*
Qualification - Graduation or Intermediate with 5 years experience of working in Himalayan region for nursery development, restoration of degraded lands, medicinal plants cultivation, research data collection, etc.
Desirable - Experience of working with Himalayan communities
Nature of Duties & Responsibilities - To assist in field demonstration, technology transfer, capacity building, database development, data analysis and manual/report preparation
Place of work - Anywhere in Himalaya
Duration of the project - Initially for one year
Project No. 3. Promoting restoration programme on degradation lands through medicinally important species - a participatory approach (NMPB, Govt. of India)
Position - Field Attendant (02 No.)
Emoluments - @ Rs. 10000/= P.M.+ 8% HRA
Age - 35 years*
Qualification - Intermediate
Desirable - · Experience of working in Himalayan region
Nature of Duties & Responsibilities - · Experience of land preparation for development of restoration model
Place of work - Kailash Sacred Landscape, district Pithoragarh
Duration of the project - Initially for one year
