The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) invites eligible candidates for the Walk-in-Interview for the recruitment of Resource Persons, Project Associates, and Research Associates on a project basis.
The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) is a Government of India society under the Ministry of Water Resources. The main objectives of the institute are to undertake, support, promote and coordinate systematic and scientific research work in all aspects of Hydrology and Water Resources.

Educational Qualification :
Essential: Ph.D. degree in Environmental Sciences/Environmental Engineering/ Chemistry/Hydrology/Water Resources with at least one research paper in Science Citation indexed (SCI) Journal
Monthly Emoluments: Rs.47,000/- + HRA
Title of Project: Internal Study titled “Ascertaining the efficacy of the use of State of art technologies for spring mapping and sustainability of springs through suitable interventions ”

Educational Qualification :
Essential: Master's Degree in Geology and minimum post-qualification experience of 6 years in the requisite field. A person with higher/additional qualifications, research experience, published papers, and post-qualification experience in the relevant field would be preferred.
Desirable: Having knowledge of RS & GIS and working in Hilly areas
Post Duration: Initially this post will be for one year. However, the duration can be extended up to 03 years or the termination of the project whichever is earlier

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course M.E./M.Tech. in Civil/Water Resources Engg./Hydrology/Soil & Water Conservation Engg/Geoinformatics/Climate Sciences
Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having knowledge of AUTOCAD (for designing & drawing)/Rain Water Harvesting as well as with higher or additional qualifications/research experience/research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Nature of Work: Field investigation & experimentation
Desirable: Experience in analytical work in the laboratory
Monthly Emoluments :
(i) Rs.31,000/-p.m + HRA (as applicable) to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
(ii) Rs.25,000/-p.m + HRA (as applicable) for others who do not fall under (i) above

Educational Qualification :
Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences (M.Sc.) in Geology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Resource Person (Junior) OR Graduate Degree in Professional Course (B.E./B.Tech.) in Civil/Agricultural Engg.
Desirable: Preference will be given to those candidates who are having at least two years of experience in handling IRMS, Gamma spectrometer, Tritium Enrichment, RAD-7 and Ion-Chromatograph
Experience: The candidate should have experience in field sampling related to various isotopes and chemistry
Monthly Emoluments : Rs.20,000/- to 40,000/-p.m. + Rs. 1,500/-p.m. as local conveyance
Selection Procedure : The selection of candidates will be made through Walk-in-Interview.
How to Apply: Candidates can directly attend the walk-in interview on the prescribed date, and time at NIH along with complete bio-data, passport-size photograph, and original proof of qualification and experience. They must also bring with them self-attested copies of their certificates. Candidate may report to NIH one hour before the Interview time. After starting of Interview, admission to the same will not be allowed.
