GBPNIHE, Almora Recruitment 2021 - System Manager and Project Scientist  Vacant Post

 

Applications are invited only from Indian citizens for the following purely project based temporary positions under various projects at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute. The candidate with adequate qualification may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 21.10.2021 at (11:00 A.M onwards). Candidates appearing for Walk-In-Interview must bring all original copies (with xerox copy) of certificates, testimonials, experience etc along with an application. Desirous candidate who wants to appear online/virtual mode must send an advance copy of the application in the prescribed format with all supporting documents (i.e. educational, experience

etc.) to the undersigned by email (os@gbpihed.nic.in) on or before 18.10.2021. It is essential to mention the name of project and position applied for in the subject area of mail sent by you. Application in the prescribed format will only be accepted. Qualified/ screened candidates will be called for the interview through online mode after verification of the documents.

 

Walk-In-Interview on 21.10.2021

 

• Position (No.)/ Emoluments and age: System Manager (1 No.) (@ Rs. 40,000/- PM fixed)
• Age Limit: 40 Years*
• Project Name: NMHS funded project entitled “3D Data Analysis and Visualization Lab (3D DAVLVRIHAD)”.
• Qualification: Essential: i) M.Tech/B.Tech in GIS and Remote Sensing/Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology or any such discipline related to Animation, Digital Image processing or equivalent or MCA with first class  AND ii) One year work experience in case of M.Tech or three years for B.Tech/MCA in: 3D GIS, 3D Animation/Content generation, Virtual Reality Immersion or related area.
• Desirable: M.Tech with GATE qualification, Knowledge in Linux environment, Experience in handling GIS software including ArcGIS and Satellite Image feature automated extraction, Mathematical Modeling and hands on 3D software packages.
• Responsibility: i. Overall Management of 3D lab

ii. Proof of Concept studies

iii.Baseline data generation over GIS platform

iv. 3D rendering through animation using available software for visual interpretation

v. Integrating the modeling outputs to generate futuristic data

vi. Demonstration of the facility as and when required

vii. Assisting the decision makers, planners and scientists in 3D rendering and interpretation.

 

Project Name: Position under Project Management Unit (PMU) under MoEF&CC funded Scheme "National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS)"

 

• Position (No.)/ Emoluments and age: Project Scientist (1 No.) (@ Rs. 50,000/- PM +HRA)
• Age Limit: 34 Years*
• Qualification: Essential: Ist class Masters Degree in Life Sciences with 5 years post qualification experience in handling research projects.
• Desirable:

· Ph. D. in any of the above fields

· Good comprehension and communication skills, well versed with Himalayan Sites, Computer certificate course of minimum 6

month duration

· Working experience in the Himalayan region in Projects

• Responsibilities: I. Efficient coordination of PMU activities

II. Assist in organization of STAG and Steering Committees

III. Help in establishing linkages/coordination with regional units/partners institutions/ organizations

IV. Assist in project monitoring, report writing, synthesis, liaison with other Institution/ Ministries and MoEF&CC, etc.
