The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) officially announced the announcement for the Civil Services Exam 2024 under advertisement number A-2/E-1/PCS/2023-24 on 14 March 2024.

Selection Process - The selection process for UKPSC PCS 2024 includes three primary stages:
Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)- The Preliminary Examination is the first screening stage and consists of objective-type questions. This stage is divided into the General Studies Paper and the Civil Services Aptitude Test. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are used solely for qualifying candidates for the Main Examination. The scores from this stage are not counted towards the final selection.
Main Examination (Written Type)- Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination proceed to the Main Examination, which is descriptive in nature. The Main Examination is crucial as its scores are considered for both qualifying candidates for the interview stage and in the final ranking.
Interview Examination - The final stage of the selection process is the Interview or Personality Test. Candidates who clear the Main Examination are called for an Interview. The marks scored in the Main Examination and the Interview are considered for the final selection of candidates.
