Regarding advertisement No. 12/2024; dated 19/06/2024, an interview shall be conducted for the position of Junior Research Fellow for the project titled “Extended Finite Element Method for Semipermeable Nonlinear Fracture Models in Smart Materials: Mathematical Analysis and Simulation" under Core Research Grant (File Number: CRG/2023/007469) by SERB, DST Govt. Of India, under the supervision of Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, Principal Investigator, Department of Mathematics.
The details of the post, qualification, and fellowship are as follows: -

Qualification - Essential: 1. M.A./M.Sc. in Mathematics or M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics) or M.Sc. (Industrial Mathematics) or M.Sc. (Mathematics & Computing) with minimum of 1st class or equivalent CGPA 2. CSIR-UGC JRF/NET or GATE qualified in Mathematics. Desirable: Experience in computer programming languages like C++/ MATLAB/ Python
Fellowship - Rs. 37,000/- per month + 8% HRA

Interested candidates shall appear for an walk-in-interview along with the application form, all originals, and self-attested photocopies of relevant certificates as per the above schedule at the Department of Mathematics, NIT Uttarakhand, Srinagar Campus, Srinagar Garhwal - 246174. Candidates should send the advance copy of completely filled application form and relevant certificates as a single PDF file via email to ksharma@nituk.ac.in on or before 16th July 2024, 9:00 AM. General Terms & Conditions: 1. The duration of a post will be initially for one year, which may be extended up to the project's duration (i.e., 3 years) based on satisfactory performance. The fellowship may be terminated if the candidate's performance is not satisfactory. 2. The post created under the SERB project is purely temporary and neither SERB nor the Institute would have liability whatsoever for sustaining temporary staff recruited under the abovementioned project, after its completion/termination.
3. Only those candidates who are present before the reporting time on the scheduled date will be considered for the Interview. Candidates reporting after the scheduled reporting time for document verification shall NOT be eligible to appear for the Interview. 4. The Junior Research Fellow will have option to register for Ph.D. program of institute; the candidate must meet the essential qualifications and qualify written examination & interview of Ph.D. admission of the institute. 5. NIT Uttarakhand has right to cancel the recruitment for the aforesaid post at any time without providing any clarifications/information. 6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
